Chisel Cabinet
The Chisel Cabinet was inspired by a curved (coopered) front cabinet I saw at the Metropolitan Museum in New York. It's the first thing I see as I enter my shop. The cabinet was featured in the gallery section of Fine Woodworking Magazine.
The cabinet is made of Sapele, an African tropical hardwood. It is highly valued for making objects of art and fine furniture. The interior is Bird's Eye Maple behind which are concealed magnets to keep the chisels in place. The windows are 1/2 mm plexiglass and the doors have knife hinges. The door handles are Sapele with inlaid Abalone Shell. (w=14", h=14")
All items are made to order and take about 6 weeks to complete. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to place an order. All sales are final (no refunds)
